About Me
Hi there. Thank you for stopping by. My name is Cristal and am a photographer based in Indiana. But who am I really? Well, other than my main gig of being a mother to a 9 year old future professional soccer player, I work in corporate America. I am sure you find it shocking that my day job does not fufill the burning sensation of being a creative.
For this reason, in 2020, I decided to take my once hobby to the professional leagues. From inception, the focus was always couple and wedding photography.
Why Couples?
Wedding and Engagement photography is what draws my true interest and enthusiasm. While I do occasionally photograph families or seniors, I believe in depth over breadth in this industry. Or in other words, I think it important to master one area than attempting to dabble in multiple areas and spread my attention too thin. That being said, my area of expertise is LOVE. I adore photographing couples and assisting them in portraying what their love looks like.
What is it like to work with Me?
My optimal workflow would be a hybrid of a directed and candid experience. For portraits, it is my role as your photographer to have an artistic eye. It is also my role to place you in a spot that will result in well lit, well composed, and technically focused portrait. I also provide a sense of direction for posing and prompts. What I cannot provide and need from my clients, is a positive mindset and cheerful disposition. My key phrase is the best portraits are those that include a directed pose, but have some natural playfulness. All this to say, come with a willingness to laugh.
